Happy Christmas everyone.

Hi all. Our next Fi is due on 21st. The day before some other thing that some of you might know about.
I'm throwing my Baggsie in, but I want to know if anyone's up for it then or not?
Should we continue? I'm happy to, but what do you guys think?
I'm therefore putting a preliminary Baggsie on the following due date, 4th January 2008, in case we're not up for the 21st December.
Or we could just miss one week and go for the 28th?
What's your thoughts? (on this subject, not just anything. e.g. the price of chess computers!)

My XBox started randomly locking recently -- the first time was after I created my Dood in Oblivion and spent ages getting his appearance just so, broke out of jail, carefully leveled up in those stinking shit pipes (wait, there was a way out through the door that the bigwigs went through? Why did I chip out through the walls behind that poster? Why did I crawl, gagging and crying through the soil pipes?) and as I emerged into the graphical beauty of the out doors_*! LOCKED.

Bastard. Lost the lot. After that it locked upon boot, and after a bit of fiddling about it gave me the Red Ringer, this close to Christmas, six months old.

Yeah, I know, it's happened to you guys, and yeah, I know call Game and get them to swap it, but it's a hassle.

Called Game, and they were really good about it -- the Perry just told me to take it in, straight swap, leave off all the gubbins, so I did. Not a straight swap though.

When I got it home, the first thing I noticed was that the HDD was still connected! Bonus! I attacked that with my torque6 and torque10 drivers and now I have a bare 2.5" SATA HDD waiting for the USB2 enclosure to turn up from Amazon. That puppy is getting plugged into the Mac Mini and is gonna be velcroed to the back of the TV as a Recorded TV drive.

Next thing I spot is the built in HDMI port! Checked the code and it's a 65nm one, that makes virtually no fan noise at all and from what I see online, is immune to the Glowing Red Sphincter Death.

Game has these bad boys in stock and they're not checking the 'dead' ones. Just saying.

Sleeping with the Enemy('s Sister)

This is gaming related because it's on Eurogamer, see?

Synopsis... Guy sleeps with his best mate's sister at a party. Then posts on a public forum for advice, apparently happy with the knowledge that his name and email address are in his public profile. Then he reveals that his best mate is a London Taekwondo champion.

Hilarity ensues when it becomes apparent that googling for London Taekwondo Champion has the thread itself as the second result.

If this is true it may spoil some part of SMG for you -- it tells you what happens if you get 120 and 121 stars in the Wii game. If it's not true, it's a bloody amazing mock up.

Games Of The Year?

I think it would be good for all of us to voice our favorite game(s) of the year.

Any format and don't feel you have to limit yourself to one title.

I want to hear your thoughts...was Halo3 the best yet, or just dull and over blown?
Did Bioshock raise your submarine or did it sink without trace?
Was Call of Duty 4 both good and good looking or would you rather it Forza'd off?

Fi Club - Friday 7th December

All back to mine!

Hoping to have a blast through some of the latest and some of the classic Wii games. It'd be handy if C o o k 1 e could bring a handful of wiimotes and nunchucks, Wii Play and Wii Sports SVP?

Also, if anyone has GH3 (on either 360 or Wii) then we can have a plucking good time with that too.

Bring your DS too for we may have a go at Mario Party DS.
