Woo, surprising list. Shows how many shit games are snapped up by the masses -- "oh, I like that film / cartoon..."
My goodness there's some shocking crap in there.
I'm still surprised that CoD4 outsold Halo 3 and I saw that stat before.
Yes can't say I'm really surprised by things like Need for Speed and other EA-generated pap, given that they have such a large following.
Interesting to see where Rock Band, and GTAIV will be in 12 months time, given that I'm only interested in one of them, and the other one has such a high price.
Some interestingly high placements for PS3 and Wii exclusives in there, too.
Yes.. some of the surprisingly high showings are due to cross-platform releases (Eg. Mass Effect v. Assassins Creed - both received similar hype, ME reviewed 10 points better on average, yet AC is much higher - because it's across three major platforms.)
I'd like to see this chart also broken down by sales by platform.
I was quite surprised to see Rock Band at #32, considering it's price and complete lack of Euro sales.
At least none of the top 10 were cheap film/cartoon/toy tie-ins.
Pleased to see GH3 at #3 and COD4 at #1. They're both great.
