Burnout Friday is looking to become Burnout Thursday this week due to the release of the Bike Pack for Burnout Paradise on the 18th.
This handily leaves Friday open for a proper hosted Fi Club courtesy of [[TBA]] (go on, you know you want to.)
The Bike pack includes:
- Pick from 2 motorcycles featuring male or female characters and start on a whole new progression to earn your Bike License.
- 38 new against-the-clock race events – Burning Ride and Midnight Ride.
- A brand new in-game 24 hr day / night cycle that impacts traffic density and available events. (It's fully customisable – you can make it day/night/change the clock speed – it's up to you.)
- Dynamic weather brings an all-new look to Paradise City
- And if that's not enough, we've got 70 more Freeburn Challenges too

Apparently this pack may contain additional achievements. How timely!
they better be easy achievements or this is getting put off untill post "7 days..." :)
Supposedly it's not real achievements but a bogus award system within the game. *yawn*
Still Burnout Thursday for me tonight, might give you a chance to catch up ;p
This was fun.
Handling is what I'd describe as 'arcadey'. Not too much thought required, just squeeze the trigger and lean it round corners.
You start with two bikes, one is a pointless old-style hog-like bike, and the other is the one you'll actually use - a fast, sleek and cool looking sports bike.
There is a single player Bike license to gain, using the intersections as start points for day and night races, which I guess also unlocks the other bikes. I hardly scratched this last night before I jumped into the online.
Online there are another 5 timed challenges and 5 team challenges for each number of players from two to eight. They have (for now at least) omitted races and other niceties from the car side of things, although impromptu informal races are possible and fun.
Both modes feature a set of 'fauxcheievments' - 20 little congratulatory banners that pop up and don't stay long enough for you to read. There are definitely some for doing wheelies... the rest passed me by and seemed largely unimportant.
At first glance it all seems a bit of a shallow add-on, but as the clock rolls round and the sun sets, the owls hoot (really!), darkness settles across the land like the wing of a raven, your headlights come on illuminating k0ck1es shapely butt and pink bunny back patch, all your concerns fade away and you hurtle into a wall at 200+ mph.
Lovely!
