Fi Club (West Country Chapter) Halolll report

Well, we certainly enjoyed last nights games...

I particularly enjoyed the 'I just happen to be American', 'Never mind the rankings, look at their names', 'Veto the map or I'm gonna go hard' and that one game on Isolation where we absolutely mullered the opposition.

Some of those Last Resort games where we lost 50v48 and 50v46 were also good, tight matches, where our teamwork skillz really came together - I just think that like a lot of the teams we fought, whether through respawn points or wandering-off-sickness, we 'sometimes' got split up and made easier targets.

Loved getting to grips with that Banshee on Valhalla - racked up a tidy 15 kills in it I think, although if sud0's batteries had not run out I think our aerial domination would have brought the game to a close earlier and we would have won it in the end.

Great fun though - looking forward to more organised chaos, and I think we nearly convinced Henry he has to get a 360 for sure, he had a great laugh.

  1. One of the latest (or earliest) Fi Clubs ever I think, which is testament to H3's staying power (and ours to some extent.)

I'm starting to enjoy the other variants too... I think territories has a fair amount to offer a well coordinated team, although I think the "Let's all sit on one base at a time" tactic isn't quite right.

Some of last night's classic quotes are attributable entirely to the fact that I keep forgetting that everyone can hear you in the lobby! :o

  2. Oh - deffo need to run through the theatre tonight and sort out some top quality kill clips.

There's one bit I want to find on Isolation where I fell down a hole into the middle of the entire enemy team who proceeded to make mincemeat of me.

Game of the night for me. ;-)

re: Hole in Isolation - I think I know where you mean, it is sort of hidden until you are on top of it and falling down it.

If you want to see an example of how a good team coordinates itself, check out the theatre for the last Narrows game we got owned at - at the start of the game, they come over the central bridge, rotating who is at the front and moving almost in a circular fashion to bring guns to bear and distract our fire over multiple targets.

That, and they clearly know where all the guns are... but that'll come in time, for us. Still think that close game on Last Resort where we only lost 50 - 48 was the best of the night.

The 'look at the names!' comment was made completely unthinkingly. After that most of the baiting was deliberate.

Need to check my negative ratings now ;)

  5. Great time.

A bit dis-heartening when we kept getting "owned" but the wins and close games made up for those.

Sometimes I felt that no matter what I did, I was just a "dead man walking"! Frag-meat!
Practice and experience will help I suppose (and just not being Crap!)

Henry - (in a whisper..) do it, do it, do it, DO IT.......DO IT.

  6. Anyone wishing to view those precious teabagging moments can download them to their theatre from here.

I'm ashamed to admit I giggled like a schoolboy when I was editing these.
