It looks like Valve's The Orange Box has edged Halo 3 and Bioshock off the top of the Metacritic charts. Whilst this is probably due to the perceived value of five games in one box (Halflife2 plus HL2 Episodes 1 and 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2) I think the hype has been markedly lower for TOB than either of the other two.
TOB has a Metascore of 97, whilst Bioshock nestles in just below at 96. Halo 3 brings up the rear with a comfortable 94 (remaining equal with Gears and Oblivion.)
This goes on my ever growing to-do list.

The flash portal game is really good. It speaks volumes about the concept. I'm really looking forward to playing the full version.
The gnome thing is pretty cool and funny, but like carrying Dog's ball all the way through HL2 (without even the added bonus of an achievement) I don't think it's something I'll ever even consider.
