'Fi Month Continues...

You know how when it's winter and we're all like, "oh I'm so bummed" and everyone is feeling low n stuff and we grab our passports and head to sunnier climes or roll out the daylight box and sit in front of it or take copious amounts of recreational pharmaceuticals just to lift the fug and make us feel better?

This month is like that. No really. After such a poopy summer, rain, wind, floods n shit, we're all feeling a need to lift moods and have a gosh darnit good time, and we appear to have had a 'Fi Club for three weeks running, which is, like, a record or whatever.

Well bum out no more, doods! This coming Friday follows suit with all the others in the fashion what I have just mentioned and is also a 'Fiday! Yes!

Word has come out from behind the Great Banking Firewall in That London that Cap'n Munchk has cleared it with Mrs Munchk and he's already polishing his big pink tower in excited readiness. H i r 0 has come up with a vehicle ("I need that shit you're driving") and I have bagsied shotgun, so all is right with the world once again and we can face the mind crushing wage slavery that is the end of this damp dark week.

Mental DS Slidey Type Thing

Casting aside my first thoughts of "how will I pack another damn gaming add-on into my already bulging sack of joy?" I present this here video for you to click, peruse and marvel at.

Just when you thought the DS couldn't get any stranger.

Watched it? Now tell me you don't want it.

OK, *apart* from Blitzoid, tell me you don't want it.

Two out of Three Ain't Bad

That's right... this week's Fi Club is back in my lair following a minor detour via the Ruutcave. Due to the fact that Mrs h i r 0 is off galavanting around town, literally leaving me holding the baby (hello baby h i r 0), I am claiming my second Fi Club in three sessions.

Ruut has already sent apologies in advance for his absence, as he's propeller-setting around the world on a luxury cruise liner. But still, we'll have fun and laughter to help you on your way.

Hope to see you there!

Tonight! Mini-Fi

Short notice, I know, but h i r 0 and I have been chatting on IM and Munchk has been on the emails and we've all been talking about a Mini-Fi tonight. Munchk may be coming over to mine tonight (Shhh, we'll get pizza) and h i r 0 and Jal will be playing through the tubes from their respective gaffs and we'll do lots and lots of killings. I'm off on holiday tomorrow so I'm going to miss next week's scheduled Fi and I dont want to be called Johnny Missfi.

In summary then:

Mini-Fi, GOW, 8:30 onwards, XBL.

What about that E3 then?

Anyone want to share their favourite links / videos / previews / stories of E3 so far?

I was going to blog it every day but I'm busy and there's a lot going on. I'll sort out some of my favourite links in a bit.

Word of the year: UHSUUUUMMM!

Getting Taxied About

The next issue of GAMES TM magazine has the most in-depth article on GTA IV to date. Filefront.com has scans of the article. This article is fantastically exciting and I'm looking forward to this game far more than Halo 3, to be honest.

I could stick in some bullet-points here but I'll let you read it. The scans are at the bottom of the page.

And Ruut! You're now officially allowed to get excited about this!

Droppin' The Host Post -- July 6th Suckers

Can you count, suckers? I say the next 'fi club is at ours...
...if you can count.

Look what we have here before us.
We've got the h i r 0 e s sitting next to the Coote Street Boys. We've got the Munchk Runners, right by the Van Blitzoid Rangers. Nobody is wasting nobody. That...is a miracle. And miracles is the way things ought to be.

You're standing right now with eight delegates from a hundred gangs. And there's over a hundred more. That's eight thousand hard-core members - counting affiliates, and more not organised, but ready to 'fi.

Eight Thousand Soldiers!

There ain't but two thousand police in thewhole town. Can you dig it? Can you dig it?
Caaaaaan yooooooou dig it?

Rock Band Clip

Cnet.com have a video of Jeff Yapp talking about MTV Network's vision of the future (One World, One Avatar) which includes a clip of Rock Band in action. Looks interesting for sure, but I have concerns about how much the hardware is going to cost over here.

The Rock Band clip follows a fairly nonsensical section showing what looks like "There" rolled into an epilepsy inducing montage of fashion shoots, news clips and music videos. *Spew*

Right... Fcuk the Cnet.com video, here's a complete clip from YouTube...

Wipeout Pulse Screenies

To whet your appetite for up and coming games a little, here are some Wipeout Pulse screenies I took this afternoon.

Title screen.

Enter Your Name

Select Your Ship

Go!

h i r 0 assumes his customary position

I'm hoping this Promo is going to be Fi-suitable, but I don't know if the network modes work yet, and you need to upgrade to 3.40 OE-A to play (or at least some point higher than the 3.03 we were on.)

Three Hourglass Videos

Kotaku.com have three new gameplay videos from Phantom Hourglass displaying puzzle sovling techniques, dungeon crawling and seafaring.

Want. So. Bad. Windwaker Link is so adorable.

Comments moan about the Navi voice "Hey!", "Look!" but I find that incredibly reminiscent of OoT, I was glad to hear it again.
