Had to post this -- a major WANT and the biggest wish on my list at the moment.
Travis over at Gizmodo has managed to get hold of the fabled DS Xtreme and has written a nice post about it with pics and screenies. Clicky here.
In a nutshell, it's a DS game pak with 4Gb of storage and a USB port to allow a PC hookup. H i r 0 and I looked at these a couple of months ago and were impressed (right, man? Remember that? Oh those were the days...). This thing will let you play MP3s on your DS and will also allow you to play your, um, 'backup' files on there too. The beauty of this system is that you don't need a passthru cartridge in the GBA slot or any hardware trickery to get it to read the DS gamepak, this puppy she jus' play the games.
Travis rates this thing pretty highly, and I love the idea of being able to use my DS as a pretty decent emulator. The comments in the Gizmodo thread are worth reading and staying on top of: apparently it can play backed up ROMS properly, ONLINE and with no problems. Sure, $125 is pretty rich, but it *must* be worth it.

These guys are selling it for £69.99 in the UK.
That's the price of three games. Stupid not to really. I'm going to see how things are going after Xmas
BTW, that's 4 Giga BITS, which is 512Mbytes.
That's what I wrote - 4Gb. :)
That said, 512MB seems a lot of Space to me. Each DS game Pak can hold up to 1 Gb , so this will take at least 4 of the largest current set of games.
That review is pretty damn convincing.
Modchip-store.co.uk has sold out of his first batch and is expecting a second this week.
Ordering today. If anyone else wants one, let me know quick and we can save a bit on postage. (Split £5 between whoever)
Well, I ordered. Review, impressions and pics when it arrives.
*excited*
