CNET Reviews the PS3

It's just not very enticing is it?

I thought the blu-ray storage argument was a bit fallacious. When you look at how much stuff was in Oblivion you have to wonder if anyone really needs more than 8Gb of storage to ship a game. Gee - more HD cut scenes? Cos we all love a cut scene don't we guys?

Blu-ray and titles is all that's going to sell a PS3 because the hardware, the graphics and the OS features just aren't cutting it. The graphics and features certainly don't look like they supercede what the 360 and Xbox Live has to offer, and the lack of a redesign on the controller is idiocy if you ask me. They added a sub-par 6-way motion detector and removed the rumble? Surely there was time to redesign a cool looking controller with both? Or could it be possible that they shoeheeled the motion sensor in as a last minute response to the Wiimote?

I remember when Sony used to lead these sorts of races, and it wasn't that long ago...

Now is MS' chance to put the next gen race to bed once and for all by releasing the sorts of games that the PS2 owners will be waiting for on PS3. Take a look at the classic PS2 games and take them one step further. Convert those users now and don't give Sony a chance.

I agree. Add free 1080p support for the 360 (lets put the £2000 tv's aside for a mo... :)), and the £129 HD-DVD drive, and the gaps between these consoles are smaller every day.

I believe the PS3 will look better, although xbox developers will have had an extra year to start squeezing more out of it.

X06 also announced dedicated 360 content for the next GTA.

ok, as an MS fanboi and 360 owner, I'm pleased, but what the heck is going on?!?

Well, rather than post another item on the PS3 (I'll end up being noted as the site PS3 FanBoi at this rate!), I will just comment that LikSang are taking preorders for PS3 imports... Here is the story about it, sorry for the long linky:
